Well you guys, Im sure you all know what happened to Nick tonight. And if you don’t, let me tell you. Nick Markakis broke his thumb and is out for the rest of the regular season.

In the 5th inning CC Sabathia hit Nick right in the hand. “When it first Happened I knew I broke it. I knew it was broken as soon as I took off my batting glove” Markakis said. While Nick was in pain, CC was more concerned about it being a foul ball. But you know what, we wont go into that.

So here the Orioles are, in September playing meaningful games and just lost out best hitter in the line up. WHAT LUCK! Nick Markakis has been with the Orioles for a long time now, and has yet to be in a playoff game. Now when the Orioles are in the running he cant participate, only support. But he is still a part of the team.

I heard Nick is going to be out a minimum of six weeks, if the Orioles get far into the playoffs, he might be able to come back and play. Lets HOPE! :) AND GET THE SERIES WIN TOMORROW!!! #STAYHUNGRY #BEATTHEYANKEES #WINONEFORNICKER (I know its not twitter but who cares)

On a plus side, the Orioles are now Tied for first place, beating the Yankees!!! AGAIN! And I know we can take the series tomorrow! I have faith in Our BOYS!! #LETSGOORIOLES

So Let me tell yah something. This kid Manny Machado made a great first impression tonight. He really did. August 9th, 2012 Manny Machado made his MLB Debut! And I was lucky enough to see it. Me and My wonderful Grammy. :)
First off, he made two good plays at 3rd base, even though there was one ball that got by him that with the right timing he could have caught, but lets not focus on the bad now. Then he grounded out his first MLB AB, but sure enough, 2nd AB (when I was away from my seat) he hit a TRIPLE! A TRIPLE FOR HIS FIRST MAJOR LEAGUE HIT! The only other Oriole that did that who is currently on the team is Matt Wieters. Pretty neat huh? Yeah I know.
His second at bat, Manny hit a chopper to the second baseman who couldnt catch it they gave him a hit, but in my opinion it was an error but hey, Im not arguing :)
SO bottom line, Manny Machado did pretty well tonight I’d say. Orioles may not have had a good game. Poor Chen got off to a bad start, but there’s always tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day. We can get there, I know it!

Wait wait wait! That’s not all! August 10th, 2012. MANNY HIT HIS FIRST MLB HR. AND HIS SECOND MLB HR! WHAT THE WHAT? IN THE SAME GAME!
The same fan caught both balls! That’s ridiculous! Manny Alamo had his first curtain call as a Major Leaguer. NICEEEEEEEE! WELCOME TO BALTIMORE MANNY!
